One of the biggest humanitarian auctions that will be selling artworks of famous Croatian and foreign artists for about half market price , will take place at Društvo arhitekata Zagreb on Friday, 10^th of December 2010 at 18:00.

 

Auction will be hosted by Mr. Hanibal Salvaro. 

Organizer of auction is the Golden Horse Gallery (galerija Zlatni konj) with support and help of Zagreb Croatian Architects’ Society (Društvo arhitekata Zagreb).

There will be refreshments and buffet.

Holder of each ticket will get 170 kn worth coupon that might be used in a purchase of an artwork. 

Half of net profit will go to support  program and activities of Organization of women with breast cancer and their families EVERYTHING FOR HER, while the second half goes to cover the costs of organizing the Permanent exhibition of small and miniature ceramics LILLIPUT CERAMIS at the Golden Horse gallery..

Every purchased item comes with the proof of authentic and acknowledgment of  donation.   

 

Organization EVERYTHING FOR HER is helping women with cancer and their families to cope with the cancer, giving them psychosocial support as well as organizing different activities to provide education, early detection of disease and rehabilitation of patients.

Alongside many other projects realized, the EVERYTHING FOR HER association has founded a centre for psychosocial help to women suffering from cancer (hence not only breast cancer). The place among other things also features two 3-bed rooms for acommodation of women coming to have chemotherapy or radiation in Zagreb, and not having anywhere to stay. This place has been opened half a year ago by the President of the Republic of Croatia Mr. Ivo Josipović. 

Supporting this auction by buying valuable artwork you are in position to help to reduce number of people who are suffering from this disease, that is unfortunately increasing.  At the same time, you can help improving the quality of life for cancer patients and their families.

The Golden Horse has been continuously operating for already the 4th year at the managerial building of Car fair Zagreb. During this time it has seen over 100 exhibitions and other events. From October 17th 2010, the Gallery has been house to the permanent collection of the exhibition LILLIPUT CERAMICS. Through its activities the Golden Horse gallery has significantly enriched the cultural and art life in Southern Zagreb, and deserves therefore an overall support.
