FALCO, ONE YEAR LATER

On June 23rd, it will be a year since Falco’s passing after a brief illness during which he spent more time with us than usual and kept his regular appointments and routines even with the ever increasing fatigue. Falco left the physical plane on a Sunday evening, the day of the Summer Solstice, while Damanhur celebrated the full-moon Rite of the Oracle.

Sunday the 22nd, we once again celebrate the Summer Solstice. It will be a moment of union with the Forces of nature and of life, and the opportunity for us to remember Falco together with all our friends and guests.

Monday the 23rd will be a day of reflection, emotion, love, and celebration. We invite all our friends - those that knew Falco and those that have only heard speak of him – to dedicate a moment to him: a joyous thought from wherever you find yourself. For us, it will be a day of happiness; it is the things we created together with him that are most significant, the extraordinary gifts he left us, the dream that guides our lives, and the things we are just starting to create.

Falco has given us messages posthumously, to be read in time – in some cases even months – after his death. There is one that is most dear to us and traces the path for our future. We share it here with you:

“Work for your dreams, love each other for mine.
Together, create the most beautiful picture I have ever made.”

INSPIRATIONAL VISITS

Gregg Braden, scientist, visionary and scholar came by Damanhur on Friday, May 9th during his recent trip to Turin, Italy for the 27th ‘Salone del Libro.’ He had heard about Damanhur from friends and contacted us to arrange a visit.

Gregg Braden is internationally renowned as a pioneer in bridging science, ancient wisdom, and the real world. He was profoundly touched by the energies of the Temples of Humankind, especially in the Hall of Water, where he felt a deep resonance, recognizing a familiar matrix of knowledge.

A group of 42 visitors from the Pyramid Spiritual Societies Movement(PSSM) in India came for a visit, bringing light and spirit cultivated from their meditation practice for self-healing, energy and wisdom. PSSM is a non-profit voluntary organization whose mission is to spread Anapanasati Meditation, vegetarianism and “Pyramid Power” to one and all.

After visiting Damjl to get a sense of our history, spiritual philosophy and community life, our friends from India explored the Sacred Woods, accompanied by many Damanhurians. Brahmarshi Patriji was immediately drawn to one of the spiral labyrinths, the one with the stone chair in the center that is connected to pranatherapy. He entered the spiral, and even though the others had the freedom to wander around and explore the labyrinths as they wished, the entire group decided to join Brahmarshi!Click here to read about their experience

A TIME OF SHARING

At Damanhur, it is a time for gathering. Every day more guests arrive, in particular this year large groups, and their presence provides an opportunity for exchange. Even Damanhurians are traveling more often and meeting many people along the way.

Between the end of May and the beginning of June, there was the “Città olistica” in Modena, Italy, which every year represents an opportunity to share our ethical and spiritual research with the public. Many Damanhurians participated this year, feeling a strong calling to personally meet individuals in order to learn and share.

Another important event was the RHS Chelsea Flower Show in London, where Devodama, the new products and media arm of Damanhur, in partnership with a young artist named Oliver Jennings, presented Bio-Symphony: Music of the Plants.

The Chelsea Flower Show is one of the most important events dedicated to the plant world. From May 20th to the 24th, more than 150,000 people – amongst them Queen Elizabeth II – visited the Chelsea Royal Hospital. Many of them stopped by the booth which presented the latest research on communication with the plant world via music and video. In the last six months, Devodama has been updating the Music of the Plants U1 device in order for our green friends to have the highest quality instrument with which to play. Interest in the Music of the Plantscontinues to grow, which creates ever more opportunities for sharing...
