VLASTA MAŽURANIĆ
Rođena u Zagrebu, živi u Samoboru od 1974. godine. Diplomirala na
Višoj medicinskoj školi, radni vijek provela na Internom odjelu KB Sestara
Milosrdnica u Zagrebu. Slika i objavljuje poeziju (koja je ponekad i uglazbljena).Objelodanila je zbirku pjesama
Ispjevana svjetlost u izdanju Matice Hrvatske, ogranak Samobor. Pjesme su joj objavljene u Zborniku pri svetem Mihalu (1992-2006) i časopisima i zbornicima u Hrvatskoj i SAD.Haiku piše na hrvatskom
standardu i kajkavskom narječju te objavljuje u zbornicima samoborskih i kloštranskih haiku-susreta, te Haiku-danu Dubravko Ivančan u Krapini.Godine 2005. nagrađena je za najbolji ciklus haikua na 3. kloštranskim haikususretima.

Born in Zagreb, graduated from Medical School, and retired from the Clinical Hospital
Sestre Milosrdnice in Zagreb. Since 1974 she has been living in Samobor. She paints and publishes poetry, which is often put to music. She published a colletion of free verse Ispjevana svjetlost (Versed Light) in 2002; a book of poetric essays Pričam ti cvijeće (I›m TellingYou Flowers
) in 2009; having poetry published in the annual collections Pri svetem Mihalu (At St. Michael›s) since 1992 and in the USA. She writes haiku in Croatian standard language and Kajkavian Dialect. At the 3rd haiku meeting in Kloštar Ivanić she received the Award for the best set of five haiku. She published a collection of haiku poetry Ples porosi / Dancing in the Dew

too much light
on dead birds

3. u noći
izgubljeno predgrađe
bez svjetla
during the night
a lost suburb
without lights
4. silaze vjetrovi
u mirise dunja
sparnoga dana.
winds descend
into the scent of the quinces -
a sweltering day.
5. veliko brdo
toplo sunce osvaja
komad po komad
a large hill
the Sun is conquering it
piece by piece
6. na očevom grobu
križ obasjan zrakom
zalazećeg sunca
on my father’s grave
the cross has been lit
by a setting sunbeam
7. prek plota
sam škrlak
odmeče sneg
over the hedge
only a hat
clears the snow
8. vu selu
pijano naherena
zaprta birtija
in the village
stooped as if drunk
a closed inn
9. bijeli mačak
zelene oči skaču
po snijegu
a white tom-cat
green eyes hopping

10. puzavac buja
teče s balkona
slap zelenila
the thriving creeper
