1. U suncu
ivančice
bumbar.
In the Sun
- of an exeye daisy -
a bumblebee.
2. Iz olupine auta
noge skitnice
vire u svijet.
From the wreck
of a car the tramp’s legs
peer into the world.
3. Nikoga na groblju,
uvele maćuhice
mole za mrtve.
There is nobody
in the graveyard – pansies
praying for the dead.
4. Sama u gomili:
ispred i iza mene
samo koraci.
Alone in the crowd:
behind and ahead of me
just the steps.
5. Ogromna tuga
zgrčila se u jednoj
jedinoj suzi.
The huge sorrow
clenched in
a single tear.
6. Juri auto
rastjerana magla
vraća se
Rushing car
dispersed fog
... returns …
7. Posljednja ruža
sjaji hladnoćom mraza
u svitanje
The last rose
bitterly shining with frost
... at dawn ...
8. Sunce visoko:
na zrelim grozdovima
pjesma berača.
The sun is high:
the song of the pickers
in the ripe grapes.
9. Sjajni tragovi
od salate k salati
puževi golaći.
Glossy trails
from one lettuce to another
the slugs.
10. Tišina i mir
samo sumrak ljubi
more.
Silence and calm
just the twilight kisses
the sea.

pahulje se ušuljale
u toplinu sobe.

snowflakes have slunk into
the warmth of my room.

izgubio zaposlenje.
Nova vremena
The hearth in my room
has lost its employment.

rocks on!

odbjegla misao
dodirne oblak.

touches a cloud.
