SMILJKA GAGIĆ
Rođena je 5. ožujka 1954. u Zagrebu gdje i danas živi, po struci je ekonomistica. Pjesnikinja, dobitnica nagrade
Goranovoga proljeća 1967. god. Kostimografkinja, dizajnerica plakata, ilustratorica, autorica grafika, uspješno oblikovala lutke. Za svoje haikue primila je niz nagrada u zemlji, Japanu, Australiji i Novom Zelandu, te je uvrštena u nekoliko antologija.***
Born on March 5th 1954 in Zagreb where she lives, by vocation an economist. As a poetess received the prestigeous Goran’s Spring
Award in the year 1967. She is a successful designer of costumes and posters, an illustrator, a painter, an author of graphics and dolls. For her haiku she has received several prizes in Croatia, Japan, Australia and New Zealand. Her haiku has been published in a number of anthologies in Croatia and abroad.
1. Poslije kiše
s repa vjeverice
opet kiši.
After the rain
from a squirrel’s tail
raining again.
2. Bijeli let
povija se travka pod
krilom leptira.
... A white flight ...
a blade of grass bends
under the butterfly’s wing.
3. S ribe
iz kljuna galeba
kaplje more.
From a fish
in the gull’s beak, the sea dripping.
4. Družeći se
s vjetrom, prstima
dodirujem proljeće.
Keeping company
with the wind, I touch spring
with my fingers.
5. Ostaci broda
dolje niz obalu dječak
ispire školjke.

down the coast
a boy rinses shells.
6. Krijesnica!
Na dječakovu dlanu
svjetluca noć.
Firefly!
On a boy’s palm
the night glowing.
7. Kroz golu trešnju
modrilo neba ulijeće
u san
Through a bare cherry
the azure of the sky
... flies into dreams ...
8. Sipi kišica.
Jutros je procvjetala
još jedna perunika.
A drizzling rain.
This morning in bloom
another iris.
9. Na kamenom grobu
skamenila se siva
gušterica.
On the tombstone
a petrified
lizard.
10. Prelijećući
vodoskok, golubica kljucnu
zrno sunca u vodi.
Flying over a fountain
a pigeon pecks at a grain
of sun in the water.
11. Nemir ptica
pred oluju. U vrtu
zadrijemalo dijete.
Restlessness of the birds
ahead of the tempest. In the garden
a napping child.
12. Uskrs! Lončićem
boje, dijete obojilo
i tatinu cipelu.
Easter! With a cup
of paint a child colouring
father’s shoe.
