NEDJELJKA LUPIS
Rođena je 1956. godine u Vignju, gdje živi i radi kao odojiteljica u dječjem vrtiću. Gimnaziju je završila u Korčuli,
a pedagošku akademiju u Mostaru. Članica je Hrvatskog društva književnika za djecu i mlade.Pelješka pjesnikinja, do sada je objavila pet knjiga: dvije zbirke pjesama i zbirku priča za djecu, te dvije zbirke haikua: Kiša bijelih cvjetova/Rain of white Blossoms
(1998) i Tragom leptira/Following the butterfly Trail (2005). Nekoliko joj je pjesama uglazbljeno, izvodi ih dječji zbor Pahuljice iz Zagreba, a priče i pjesme tiskane su joj i u dječjim listovima Radost i Smib. Dobitnica je nagrade Ivan Filipović.Haikui su joj tiskani u časopisu Vrabac/Sparrow te u zbornicima samoborskih i ludbreških haiku-susreta na kojima redovito sudjeluje. Za svoje haikue primila je nagrade u Hrvatskoj i Japanu.

Born in 1956 in Viganj, where she lives and works in the kindergarten. She graduated on the island of Korčula from secondary school and the Pedagogical Academy in Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina. She is a member of the Union of Croatian Writers for Children and the Young. This poetess from the peninsula Pelješac has published five books so far: two collections of lyrics and a collection of stories for children and two haiku collections. Several of her poems have been set to music and were sung by the children’s choir Snowflakes from Zagreb. Her poems have been printed in children’s magazines Radost and Smib. For her work she received the award Ivan Filipović.
Haiku collections: Kiša bijelih cvjetova/Rain of white Blossoms, 1998 and Tragom leptira/Following the butterfly’s Trail, 2005. Her haiku have been published in the magazine Vrabac/Sparrow and joint haiku collections published at annual meetings of haiku poets in Samobor and Ludbreg, where she takes part. For her haiku she has received prizes and awards in Croatia and Japan.

je raščešljala guste
krošnje naranče.
Gale: oh, how it
combed apart
the dense orange crowns.
2. Poslije kiše
pauk dugom krpa
ostatke mreže.
After the rain,
a spider mends its net
with a rainbow.
3. Ribar i pauk
u konobi, svaki svoju
mrežu plete.
Fisherman and spider
at the inn, each weaving
their own net.
4. Vjetar češlja travu
djevojčica upliće tratinčice a small girl wreathes daisies
u sjajnu kosu.
The wind combs the low grass
a small girl wreathes daisies
into her shiny hair.
5. Čamac na vesla.
Ritmom cvrčkove pjesme
trepere zvijezde.
A rowing boat.
The stars flicker to the rhythm
of the cricket’s song.
6. Galeb na hridi
otvorenim kljunom guta
zvuk valova.
A sea-gull on a rock
swallowing the voice of waves
with its open beak.
7. Kroz trula rebra
napuštenog čamca, gle
niče trava.
Through the rotten ribs
of an abandoned boat, look,
grasses shoot up.
8. U gustoj sjeni
borove šume noć je
prespavala dan.
In the deep shade
of conifers the nights
spend the day.
9. Sa ostiju, kap
po kap, pada u more
san iz očiju.
Off the harpoon
drop by drop the sleep from eyes
falling into the sea.
10. Cvatu sunovrati.
Jedan leptir slijeće
na svakog od njih.
Blossoming narcissusses.
A butterfly flies down
on each of them.
11. Autobusom
na prozorskom staklu
putuje i mjesec.
Even the moon
travelling by bus
on the window pane.
12. Jato ribica
tu i tamo bljesne
sa zvijezdama.
A shoal of minnow
flashes from time to time
with the stars.
13. Vrlo sporo
tišinu proljetnog mora
pomiče val
Very slowly
waves paddle the calm of
... the spring sea ...
14. Jutro na plaži.
Valovi ispiru
ribarske priče.
Morning on the beach.
Waves wash away
fishermens’ tales.
15. Vatra u polju.
Dim krpa nebo
rasparanih oblaka.
Fires in the field.
The smoke mends the sky
of unseamed clouds.
16. Jutarnji ribolov.
Ribar mrežom ulovio
sjenu galeba.
