1. Raskoš života
iz škrtosti kamena
korčulanski bonsai.
Luxury of life
- from a naked cliff -
Korčula’s bonsai.

Iz raspukline osmijeh
ljupkoga cvijeta.
A wrinkled stone.
From the crack a smile
of a charming flower.

i broda za pučinu.
Ushit sutonom!
Setting of the sun
and the ship on the open sea.
Elation with the twilight!

iz utrobe spilje.
Drveće nad glavom!
A gaze towards the sky
from the womb of a cave.
Trees above my head!
5. U visokoj krošnji
prazno gnijezdo čeka
puninu proljeća.
In a tall tree top
an empty nest awaiting
the totality of the Spring.

nagrđuje pročelje
kuće. Grafit.
A nice thought
defacing the house façade.
Graphite.

jure nad Medvednicom.
Na dohvat ruke!
Large clouds
rushing above Medvednica.
At arm’s length!
8. Plavetnilom neba
klizi galeb, posve sam.
Kliktaj slobode!
Above the blue of the sky
glides a gull, all alone.
A shout of joy!
9. Zvijezde krijesnice,
krijesnice zvjezdice.
Začudnost noći.
The stars fireflies,
The fireflies the stars.
Wonder of the night.

i žapci – večeras
moji prijatelji.
A guitar, crickets
and toads - tonight
friends of mine.

hungry sparrows waiting

A sparrow chirping
loudly. Among concrete
buildings an echo.
