JASENKA KOVAČEVIĆ
Rođena je u Zagrebu gdje živi i radi. Magistra društvenih znanosti, profesorica i prevoditeljica, osim haikua piše i objavljuje i refleksivnu poeziju. Haiku objavljuje u godišnjim zbornicima samoborskih i ludbreških haiku-susreta.

Born in Zagreb where she lives and works. She has a Master’s Degree in Social sciences, and is professor and a translator. Beside haiku she writes and publishes poetry. Her haiku has been published in joint collections related to the annual haiku meetings in Samobor and Ludbreg.

caught in the river
by its own shadow

u susjedovom prozoru
njiše se sunce
this morning, too
the Sun is swaying
in my neighbour’s window

u očima ribara
samo je more
- south wind is invading
in the fisherman’s eyes
there is only the sea
4. iz hlada smokve
moj crni pas me gleda
očima Budhe
from the fig tree’s shade
my black dog looking at me
with Buddha’s eyes
5. nakon oluje
izranja iz oblaka
prazna brodica
the storm is over
from the cloud comes up
an empty boat
