1. Pod plaštem tame
bijele se sirevi
na policama.
Under the cloak of dark
the cheese shows white
upon the shelves.
2. Na grivi slapa
probudilo se jutro
u narančastom.
On a cascade’s mane
the morning has awoken
painted in orange.
3. Umukli cvrčci;
starice u prisoju
pletu tišinu.
The crickets have gone quiet;
old women on the sunny side
are knitting the silence.
4. U šaci soli
bijeli se mirisno
modrilo mora.
In a fistful of salt
whiteness the fragrant
azure of the sea.
5. Na kraju sela
spava sakata cesta
obrasla dračem.
At the end of the village
the mangled road sleeps
in the weeds.
