the nightingale›s tree

olupine školjaka
opet vraća moru
Spring bora
returning wreckage of shells
back to the sea

bezbrižno zapljuskuje
uspavani svjetionik
The song of cicadas
splashes airily
the sleepy lighthouse
4. Zelena rijeka
u rukavicama skriva
rascvjetali šaš
Green river
in backwaters hiding
blossomed reed
5. Mliječna staza
osvjetljava drva
spremna za zimu
Milky way
illuminates the firewood
stacked for winter
6. Pred kišu tiho
oblaci uplovljavaju
u more
Before the rain
silently clouds sail into
the sea
7. Daleko
u planinama njiše se
zalazak sunca
Far away
swaying in the mountains
the sunset
8. Leptir se pretvara
da je rumeni list
dok prolazim
A butterfly pretends
to be a red leaf
as I pass by
9. Kroz prozore
porušene kuće
zamirisala lavanda
Through the windows
of a ruined house
the fragrance of lavender
10. I kad zalazi
sunce u moru još ostaje
oplakujući val po val
Even after sunset
the sun remains in the sea
washing wave after wave
