IVICA JEMBRIH COBOVIČKI
Rođen je 8. Lipnja 1939. u Gregurovcu Veterničkom, općina Mihovljan (Hrvatsko zagorje), živi u Čakovcu, član je Društva hrvatskih književnika (DHK) od 1983. godine. Pjesnik, pripovjedač, putopisac, recenzent, kolumnist, prepjevatelj ruskih, njemačkih i latinskih pjesnika i japanskih haiđina na kajkavštinu. Do sada je objavio tridesetak zbirki pjesama, putopisa i proze.
Dobitnik je književne nagrade DHK Fran Galović 2003, nagrade Pasionska baština 2004. i nagrade Katarina Patačić 2004. Uvršten je u antologijske izbore kajkavske poezije, pjesništva za djecu, školske udžbenike te prevođen na makedonski, slovenski, njemački, engleski i francuski jezik. Uvršten u Antologiju hrvatskoga haiku pjesništva Vladimira Devidéa (1996). Haiku piše od 1968. kada je to bio relativno nepoznat oblik pisanja, na hrvatskom standardu i kajkavskom narječju. Sudjeluje u radu haiku-susreta u zemlji, objavljuje u zbornicima i časopisima te je predstavljen u nekoliko antologija.Objavio zbirku izabanih haikua Daljina na prozoru u koju su uvršteni i prepjevi japanskih klasika na kajkavsko narječje.

Born on June 8th 1939 in Gregurovac Veternički where he lives. He is a member of Croatian Writer’s Association since 1983, president of the Čakovec branch. He is a poet, narrator, writer of travels, columnist and translator. So far he published about fifty collections of free-verse, travelogues and prose. He received several prestigeous awards for his work. He is published in many anthologies and miscellanies of poetry on Kajkavian dialect, School textbooks and literary magazines and has been translated into several European languages. He writes haiku since 1968, then unknown type of writing on Croatian standard and Kajkavian Dialect. He takes part in haiku meetings in Croatia and abroad, publishes in miscellanies and magazines and has been presented in several anthologies. He published haiku collection Distance in the window.

prodiru zrake.
The caterpillar
- cutting through a leaf -
sunbeams break through.
2. Na povratku
pogled prema krovu.
Nema dima.
Returning home
gaze towards the roof.
No smoke.

- Gospa, daj Bog
kaj ne buš trudna
A begging Gypsy:
- Ma’am, God save you
... from getting pregnant ...
4. U djevojčici,
prije šezdeset ljeta,
bila je Ona.
She was,
in that little girl
sixty yers ago.
5. Na svoje sjene
oslanjaju se vrbe.
Budi ih vjetar.
The willows leaning
onto their own shadows.
The wind wakes them up.
6. Još kad bi
progovorile slike
puna kuća.
If the photographies
- would speak, as well -
full house.
7. U starom vrtu
šćućureno cvijeće.
Umrla mati.
In the old garden
crumbled flowers.
Mother died.
8. Eno, gle, mama,
naš djed već je daleko
ispod planine
Look over ther, mom,
our grandpa is already far away
... under the mountain ...
9. Vu podrumu
sani su sprhle.
Ja sem žmehek.
In the basement
the dreams flew away.
I’m heavy.
10. Trenutak i - kraj.
Tako počinje svemir.
Ružom iz zemlje.
Moment and - the end.
That’s how starts the Space.
By a rose from the soil.
11. Padne tijelo.
Otapa snijeg
u crveni led.
A body falls.
Dissolving the snow
into a red ice.
12. Prvi snijeg.
Na prozorskom staklu
velike dječje oči.
The first snow.
At the window pane
a child’s great eyes.
13. Proljeće.
Tiho se penju pupoljci
na vrh trešnje.
Springtime.
Quietly budding
climbs the cherry tree.
14. Zriju bregovi.
Na plećima starice
klasje pšenice.
The hills are ripening.
On the granny’s shoulders
wheat spikes.
15. Tragom vlaka
nestaje daljina
u prozoru.
Track of the train -
the distance disappears
in the window.
16. Prsti u kosi.
Prolistale su breze;
starcu se žuri.
Fingers in the hair.
The birch-trees put forth leaves;
old man’s in a hurry.
17. Kroz prozorsko okno
lome se sunčeve zrake
u boci infuzijske otopine.
Through the window
sunbeams refract
in the infusion bottle.
18. U peći šapat
plamsaju stara drva.
Fali prijatelj.
- Whisper in the stove -
logs are flaring.
A friend is missing.
19. Ravnica
puna maslačaka.
Livada je sunce.
The plain
full of dandelions –
Meadow is the Sun.
20. Veter hjavlja
z jenoga breščeca
šeptanje rož.
The wind brings
whisper of the roses
from a hill.
21. U kaplji kiše
sva sjećanja mirišu
na proljeće.
In raidrop
all the memories have fragrance
of the Spring.
22. Poslije tuče
boji se svoje sjene
mrtvo strašilo.
After the hail
afraid of its own shadow
