BORIS NAZANSKY
Diplomirani inženjer kemije, pisac i novinar. Rođen je u Rijeci 16. srpnja 1953. godine, diplomirao na Prirodoslovno-matematičkom fakultetu Sveučilišta u Zagrebu. Živi i radi u Zagrebu, profesionalno se bavi enigmatikom. Objavio je više od deset tisuća zagonetaka u brojnim zagonetačkim i drugim listovima na hrvatskom, srpskom i slovenskom jeziku. Glavni je urednik tjedne zagonetačke
revije Kvizorama. Autor je zbirke stihovnih zagonetaka Stišići, Bjelovar, 1980, monografije (u koautorstvu s Milanom Đurićem) Zagonetaštvo varaždinskog kraja, Bjelovar, 1981, zbirke zagonetaka u stihovima za djecu A što je to?, Zagreb, 2001. i zbirke (u koautorstvu s Juliom Radilovićem Julesom) Velikani u strip-anegdoti, Zagreb, 2003.Haiku bilježi više od dvadeset godina, na književnom standardu i kajkavskom narječju, a objavljuje od 1993. u časopisima i zbornicima.
Predstavljen je u antologijama i zbirkama u Hrvatskoj i inozemstvu (Australija, Bugarska, Francuska, Indija, Italija, Japan, Nizozemska, Poljska, Rumunjska, Rusija, SAD, Slovenija, Srbija i Crna Gora, Velika Britanija). Za svoje haikue osvojio je četrdesetak prestižnih nagrada i priznanja u zemlji i svijetu. Dobitnik je prijelaznoga Ludbreškoga stupa haiku-pjesnika za 2007. godinu, priznanja koje se dodjeljuje na Ludbreškim haikususretima od 2003. godine. Jedan je od autora u dvojezičnim (hrvatski/engleski) zbirkama haikua po sedmero pjesnika Sedam putova/Seven Ways, Zagreb, 2000. i Sedam novih putova/Seven New Ways, Zagreb, 2003. Bio je urednik časopisa Haiku, Zagreb, 2003-2006, član je uredništva časopisa Letni časi, Ljubljana, od 2005, suurednik Haiku-zbornika, Ludbreg, 2001-2006, te najprije suurednik, a potom i glavni urednik Haiku-kalendara, Ludbreg, 2001-2009, kao i član ocjenjivačkih sudova na natječajima za haiku u Hrvatskoj.

Boris Nazansky was born in Rijeka, Croatia on July 16, 1953. He is graduated as an Engineer of Chemistry, writer and journalist. He lives and works in Zagreb and is professionally engaged in enigmatics. He has published over ten thousand riddles and puzzles in various papers and magazines in Croatian, Serbian and Slovenian languages. He is the Editor-in-chief of the puzzle magazine Kvizorama and an author of a collection of the riddles in verse Stišići (Little Verses) published in Bjelovar, 1980. Also, he is an author of a monography Enigmatics of the Varaždin Region (in coauthorship with Milan Đurić), Bjelovar, 1981. He published a collection of puzzles and riddles for children And What is This?, Zagreb, 2001 and a collection of anecdotes Great Men in Comic-strip Storiettes (in co-authorship with Julio Radilović Jules), Zagreb, 2003.He has been writing haiku in Croatian, English and the Kajkavian dialect for over twenty years and started publishing in 1993 in periodicals, magazines, yearly journals, collections and anthologies in Croatia, as well as in Australia, Bulgaria, France, Great Britain, India, Italy, Japan, the Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Russia, Slovenia, Serbia, and the USA. He has received over fourty prestigeous awards and commendments for his haiku on competitions in Croatia and the world. In 2007 he received the Ludbreg Column of Haiku Poets, a yearly travelling recognition which has been awarded at Ludbreg Haiku Meetings since 2003. He was the editor of magazine Haiku (2005-2006) and elector on the haiku contests. He is a member of the editorial board of the slovenian haiku magazine Letni časi (Seasons) and coeditor of Haiku-zbornik (Haiku Miscellany; Ludbreg 2001-2006) and Haiku Calendar (Ludbreg, 2001-2009). Also, he is among the authors in joint billingual, Croatian/English haiku collections Sedam putova/Seven Ways, Zagreb, 2000 and Novih sedam putova/Seven New Ways, Zagreb, 2003.
