SMILJKA BILANKOV
Rođena je 1941. u Zagrebu gdje živi i radi. Profesorica je engleskog jezika i filozofije. Poeziju haiku objavljuje u hrvatskim i stranim časopisima.
Zastupljena je također u Antologiji hrvatskog haiku pjesništva Vladimira Devidéa (1996), u zborniku haikua Grana koja maše (1991), u almanahu svjetske haiku-poezije Williama Higginsona Haiku World (1996), u antologiji pjesništva haiku jugoistočne Europe Knots (1999), u antologiji 100 hrvatskih haiku i u zbirci sedmero pjesnika haikua Sedam putova/Seven Ways (2000).Dobitnica je nekoliko priznanja i nagrada na međunarodnome natječaju Ito-En u Japanu (1993, 1994, 1996, 2003) i u Sloveniji (Apokalipsa, 1999). Sudjeluje u radu haiku-susreta u zemlji i objavljuje u zbornicima u Ludbregu, Samoboru, Krapini i Kloštar Ivaniću te u časopisima Vrabac/Sparrow i Haiku.

Born in 1941 in Zagreb where she lives and works. She is a teacher of English and philosophy. Her haiku appears in periodicals and literary journals in Croatia and abroad. Her haiku verses were also published in the Anthology of Croatian Haiku Poetry by Vladimir Devidé (1996), in a survey of haiku poetry A Waving Branch (1991), in William Higginson’s international almanac Haiku World (1996), in an anthology of southeastern European haiku poetry Knots (1999), in an anthology 100 Croatian Haiku and in a collection of haiku poetry of seven haiku poets Sedam Putova/Seven Ways (2000). She was awarded several Honorable mention awards at Ito-En haiku contests in Japan (1993, 1994, 1996, 2003) and in Slovenia (1999). She takes part in haiku meetings in Croatia and publishes in periodicals in Ludbreg, Samobor, Krapina, Kloštar Ivanić and haiku magazines Vrabac/Sparrow and Haiku.
