ANICA GEČIĆ
Rođena je 1931. u Zagrebu, umirovljena je profesorica fizike, živi u Zagrebu.
Poeziju objavljuje od 1944. godine.
Haiku objavljuje u hrvatskim časopisima Vrabac/Sparrow, Haiku, Jutro poezije, Školske novine, Naša riječ te mnogobrojnim časopisma na engleskom francuskom, japanskom i slovenskom jeziku u svijetu. Predstavljena je u Antologiji hrvatskoga haiku pjesništva Vladimira Devidéa 1996. te nekoliko antologija u zemlji i svijetu. Sudjeluje u radu haiku-susreta u zemlji. Do sada objavila je sljedeće zbirke haikua: Odsjaj u očima (1993), Naručje života (1993), Susreti (1994), Poklon zvijezdma/Gift to the Stars (1995), Grad na dlanu/Town n full View (1997), Vedre staze/Cheerful Trails (2001) i Zagrljaj Sunca/Embrace od the Sun (2004).Za svojke haikue primila je nekoliko nagrada i pohvala u zemlji i Japanu.

Born in 1931 in Zagreb, a retired professor of physics, lives in Zagreb. Poetry she has published since 1944. Her haiku has been published in the Croatian magazines Vrabac/Sparrow, Haiku, Jutro poezije, Školske novine, Naša riječ, in haiku miscellanies in Samobor, Ludbreg, Kloštar Ivanić, Haiku Calendar/Rokovnik Ludbreg, and on Haiku Days of Dubravko Ivančan in Krapina, every year. Abroad, her haiku has been published in magazines HI, Blithe Spirit, Letni časi, A-Bomb Haiku Meeting Miscellanies, KŌ, Seasons Greetings Letter. So far she has published seven haiku collections, four of them bilingual in Croatian and English. For her haiku Anica Gečić has received several high awards and honourable mentions in Croatia and Japan, including a Grand Prix at 41st A-Bomb Memorial Day Haiku Meeting. She is represented in several anthologies in Croatia and abroad.

uz prasak automata
teku vjenčanja.
Thunder of cannons;
accompanied by gun shots
the weddings go on.
2. Mala stopa
u utabanom snijegu
velike stope.
A small footprint
in the stamped snow of
a big footprint.
3. Na strmini
oklizne se daždevnjak
na suhom listu.
On the steep slope
- a salamander slipped -
on a dry leaf.
4. Iz doline
do zvijezda – razbacana
svjetla.
From the valley
to the stars - scattered
lights.
5. Kamena ploča
preda mnom - zakasnih
prijatelju.
The gravestone
in front of me - I was late
my friend.
6. Nemirne priče
riječnoga vrtloga
odnose magle.
are taken
of a river whirpool
away by fog.
7. Na gorskoj stazi
proljetni vjetar pleše
sa suhim listom.
On a mountain path
dances the spring wind
with a dry leaf.
8. Nad planinom
uže s kabinama uspinjače
biserna ogrlica.
Above the mountain
– a line of cable cars on the cable -
pearls round the neck.
9. Noćna tišina.
Pas u šetnji laje
na prvi snijeg.
Silence of night.
Dog on a walk barks
at the first snow.
10. Sunce silazi
niz deblo mreškanjem
jezerske vode.
The Sun going down
the tree in the rippling
of the lake water.
11. Zima u planini;
čovjek i list uletješe
kroz vrata.
Winter in the mountain;
a man and a leaf flew in
through the door.
12. Proljetna večer;
ispred crkve skitnica
psuje snježni pljusak.
Spring evening;
in front of the church a tramp
swearing at the downpour.
13. Na rijeci
bijeli otok i oblak
jato galebova.
On the river
a white island and a cloud -
a flock of gulls.
14. Ispred svog repa
vjeverica pobjegla
na vrh bora.
In front of its tail
a squirrel ran off
to the top of a pine-tree.
15. Bolnička soba;
cvjetovi azaleja
griju poglede.
The hospital room;
azalea flowers
warm the glances.
16. Uz čašu vina
odlučno izjavi:
‘Idem na frontu!’
With a glass of wine
he declares resolutely
‘I’m going to the front-line!’
17. Proljeće
prše li snježne pahulje
ili perje ptića?
... The Spring ...
fluttering of the snowflakes or
Birds’ feathers?
18. Poslije izbora;
na mokrom pločniku
lica s plakata.
After the elections;
on the wet pavement
faces from the posters.
19. S mosta
ptice lete u nebo
dječaci u vodu.
From the bridge
- birds flying to the sky
boys in the water.
20. Ratni vihor
ugasio je zvižduk
mladog urara.
The turmoil of war
has stifled the whistling
of the young watchmaker.
