So tender is
the sound of eternity.

prokišnjava dan
do sumraka.
In an old wood-cellar
the daylight leaks
until the dusk.

Kroz velegradsku vrevu
sipi nebo.
A quiet whisper.
The sky drizzling
through a crowded city.

Ni ne pomakne se
bijeli leptir.
Dog’s barking.
White butterfly not even
making a single move.

kljunu vrapca
bljesnu sunce.
The sun flashing
on the wet
beak of a sparrow.
7. Noć u predgrađu.
Dvorištem šetaju
mjesec i pas.

Walking over the yard
the moon and a dog.

prelijeće
žablji kreket.
A sparrow
flying over
the frogs’ croak!
9. Jedri
na listu lopoča
bijeli cvijet.

sailing on
a lotus’ leaf.
10. Iza rafala
toplu krv kuša
zelena muha.

a green fly tastes
the hot blood.
