ANA IVELJA
Rodom iz Lastova, živi i djeluje u Lastovu i Zagrebu. Piše poeziju od rane mladosti s manjim i duljim prekidima te je do sada objavila osam zbirki.
Školovala se u zavičaju, završila gimnaziju u Splitu, a pedagoške studije u Zagrebu. Sav radni vijek provela je radeći u školi, kao profesorica. Predstavljala je svoju poeziju nastupajući u brojnim hrvatskim gradovima, školama, domovima kulture, knjižnicama, te u inozemstvu. Pjesme su joj čitane na radiju i televiziji te u programima za Hrvate u Australiji i Americi, na Radio Sloveniji, a i prevedene su na nekoliko jezika. Haikui su joj objavljeni u časopisima i zbornicima u Hrvatskoj, a sudjeluje i u radu susreta hrvatskih haiku-pjesnika.
Za svoje haikue primila je i nekoliko nagrada i pohvala.

Born on the island of Lastovo, she lives and works in Lastovo and Zagreb, publishing poetry from her early youth with short or longer discontinuance, so far she has published eight books of poetry. She was educated in Lastovo and Split and graduated from the Pedagogical studies in Zagreb, has worked as a professor her whole life. She has presented her poetry in many Croatian towns, in schools, culture centers, libraries, abroad as well. Her poetry has been translated into several languages and is often read on radio and TV and in programs for Croats living in Australia and the United States and on Radio Slovenia. Haiku she publishes in haiku magazines and joint collections in Croatia, she takes part in meetings of Croatian haiku poets and has received several awards and commendations, as well.

a pipe carries away
the morning freshness.
2. U plićaku
u praznu kutiju
uselila riba.
In shallow water
a fish moved into
an empty box.
3. Berba u tijeku.
Kotrljaju se bačve
i prijatelji.

4. U punom tramvaju
starac razgovara
sam sa sobom.
In a crowded tram
this old man talking

5. Stušteno nebo.
Romori u bunaru
jesenska sonata.
A gloomy sky.
Autumn sonata gurgling
in the well.
6. Uvala slavi.
Odsukani je tuljan
vraćen u more.
Celebration in the bay.
A seal afloat
returned to the sea.
7. Guguću ljubav
golubovi na krovu
susjedove kuće.
Cooing of love
the pigeons on the roof
of my neighbour’s house.
8. Pucica kak v čudu
črlenu črešnju gledi
s ftičekima skup.

9. Usnulo čedo
na betonu skloništa
