Iako koža izgleda cijela, postoji lokalna temperatura, otok i otvrdnuće (induracija).
ateroskleroze
nekroza itd.Sve te pojave imaju iste morfološke simptome: gubitak savitljivosti niti /elasticiteta, grčenje = uvijanje!!!).
Uvijanje=helicity ili spiralnost!!!

studies of amyloid fibrils have confirmed the generality of the cross-ß helical structure
Proteins have very complex structures. The study of amyloid structure and growth has been motivated by their implication in many human diseases. There are ~20 diseases associated with excessive deposits of amyloid plaques in the affected tissue or organ including Alzheimer?s disease (AD), Parkinson?s disease (PD), type II diabetes, and spongiform encephalopathies.protofilaments 4 different insulin fibril morphologies. Electron-transfer functionality of synthetic coiled-coil metalloproteins
It has been shown that a-helical coiled-coils can provide a robust scaffold for constructing synthetic metalloproteins having native-like structures. Earlier work from our group showed how surface derivatization of self-assembled coiled-coils can lead to ET behavior similar to those found in native systems. However, more recent work showed how the creation of a chimeric system through the encapsulation of a multinuclear CuI cluster within the interior of a four-helix coiled-coil can lead to novel photophysical behavior that has rarely been seen in either small molecule systems or native metalloproteins alone. It is anticipated that further development of such systems will enable the construction of new hybrid materials which display interesting and useful properties.

Rupture of a coiled-coil double helical protein structure as found in the cell’s cytoskeleton, hair and hoof, under mechanical load.Helical aneurysm (Oko 362.000 rezultata)
A cerebral or brain aneurysm is a cerebrovascular disorder in which weakness in the wall of a cerebral artery or vein causes a localized dilation or ballooning of the blood vessel.A small, unchanging aneurysm will produce little, if any, symptoms. Before a larger aneurysm ruptures, the individual may experience such symptoms as a sudden and unusually severe headache, nausea, vision impairment, vomiting, and loss of consciousness, or the individual may be asymptomatic, experiencing no symptoms at all.
The ruptured aneurism (hemorrhage) may also damage the brain directly, usually from bleeding into the brain itself. This is called a “hemorrhagic stroke.” This can lead to:[3]
* weakness or paralysis of an arm or leg
* trouble speaking or understanding language
* vision problems
* seizures
