 Vjekoslav-Slavko Hrupec, an academic painter and a teacher of visual arts was born on 26th of April 1941, in Mali Bukovec near Varaždin. He studied painting on the Faculty of Idustrial Design and Painting (UMPRUM) in Prague, on the Academy of Fine Arts (E.N.S. des BEAUX ARTS) in Paris, and graduated from the Zagreb Academy of Fine Arts (department of painting) in 1969.
Beside painting and his pedagogical vocation he is also active in the field of grafic and plastic arts, ceramics and industrial design.
